The way laurie looks at jo???? and played by timothee chalamet and saoirse ronan makes it all more lovelier??. MEH THIRD FAV BRAAAAAAAAAVOOOOOOOOO. Still my favorite version of Little Women. In the older ones - from 1933 and 1949 - both actors who played Laurie were just too old (both well above 20 years old) not convincing at all. Bale was perfect mix : still young - 20 yrs old, but not too young, not looking like a child as Tim in the latest version from 2019. Bale"s looks and aura were perfect : if you look at him here, he has delicacy and sensitivity, but at the same time he is manly. The perfect combination that no previous version of Laurie had, and from what I saw, the newest is also missing (Chalamet is too childish looking. Besides, Christian and Winona in particular, had amazing chemistry on screen and. off of it, because if I"m not mistaken, they had an affair on set while filming Little Women. Beautiful couple.

What a delightful human being she is. OMG! Greta Gerwig has the same sweater as me. Oh its going to be so hard to live up to the 1994 film- one of my all time favs! The score by Thomas Newman was just perfect. Will be strange watching it with a different sound and with different actors but I look forward to seeing Saoirse Ronans portrayal of Jo. Im so disappointed in this interview, Kimmel is a terrible interviewer. FLORENCE??????. When I saw the thumbnail I honestly thought it was Tig Notaro. This guy better not say You"re my queen. Been waiting for this trailer for long time. Well, Cate proved to have a more lasting strength than Gwyneth. She went on to win two oscars, her performances are praised, her theatre contribution is still active and she knows how to choose good projects. She gives her all in everything. So clearly, there is no question who is more deserving and who had the most longevity. Gwyneth does cook books now I think.

I like Ryder"s Jo best- the writer who is focused on her art, and finds love with someone who appreciates that. (I always liked Bhaer, and was glad of that deviation from original intent.) The expansion of it never felt like anything that wasn"t in the subtext of the book- more like things that had to be true somehow in order to move on to Little Men and Jo"s Boys (in the last, of course, Alcott finally got her wish of not marrying off the spitfire girl- Nan went to medical school instead. Some of this may be because, while I liked Little Women, I always enjoyed Little Men more- I like school settings- and that meant that the Bhaer family was a given.

Spenser confidential review. Nobody. Jared Leto: DC didn"t want me then I"ll got to MARVEL. Spenser confidential wiki. Tries to be funny and comedic at times, but is still very violent and serious at other moments. This unbalance makes me not care about anything. Protagonist takes too much risk and storms in like a crazy guy not caring about his life. No real moments of threat or suspense. What was the director going for tonally? It"s unclear to me.
Characters are likeable but two-dimensional, such as the cliche loud-mouth Boston girl. Feels like they hoped it was a deeper flick than it really is, but there"s never a moment for true character development.

I liked that, in the story, she said she asked for a hug while they were discussing the love scene.
I love how respectful Mark is while listening to her talk about how hard it was for her. He didn"t giggle or laugh at her, he just listened and gave her the attention she deserved. What a classy guy.

This is actually a very interesting concept. I feel most studios would be too afraid to offend a community to do something like this but I"m happy Netflix is trying to make better stories with more interesting concepts. OMG! Isnt the bride the girl from Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging? She played Jas. The only bad thing about this series is that it ended.

Bear in mind this factor as you read this review: I haven"t read the books, so you know I"m judging this purely as a movie, unbiased by the book.
The Good: set design; costume design; computer graphics; some acting - Viggo Mortensen.
The Average: most of the acting; direction - nothing fresh.
The Bad: musical scoring - generic in one word, not a single memorable piece; some acting - Sean Bean (his whimpering scene when Frodo runs away from him was truly a pathetic attempt, and not the kind of pathetic it should have been) plot holes - like how did Gandalf get his staff back? cheesy Tucan Sam impersonation by Gandalf. just follow your nose. some underused effects - wizardry should have packed much more of a punch with this movie"s blockbuster budget, but instead it was mostly something I could have done by having my actors fall down; the scene with the slow-motion effect of pouring water into the mirror didn"t have that magical feeling to it that I felt it was trying to accomplish, for instance, it wasn"t as good as Anij"s time-slowing effect in Star Trek: Insurrection; the movie is not very accessible to people who"ve not read the books - no closure.
This movie was a great exercise in corporate marionette operations, hence my summary: Lord of the Strings. All I can give this movie is 4/10.

 

Well Jo Haslam, I coudn"t agree with you more, this movies lacks depth and a good plot which in my opinion make a movie great. Movies like Shawshank redemption, Shindlers list, am beauty, memento DO have this, and when u end watching the movie u r just blown away by the impact it creates.
I didn"t have this feeling with this one, its a nice movie, the effects and the soundtrack are great, the atmosphere is great (sometimes) but a movie is not build around the effects etc. I didnt read the book either maybe it had given me a little more background and maybe then I could place myself more into the movie, but now I think where"s the story that takes you with your throat and dont let go anymore. The start is great, then one hour of complete annoyance, I thought nothing is gonna save the movie from a complete disaster (in the meanwhile I thought 3 times to quit watching, but I thought this movie is no4 on the imdb list, so it must be good, so I decided to watch further) then on 1.5 hour when the form a fellowship and they go on their way to drop the ring, the movie switches completely, I thought ok, it"s becoming better now, and it became more interesting but at the end I can say it didn"t save the movie to become a real good one, it wasn"t that bad though but I"ve seen LOADS of better movies with better stories.
Just a really hyped up movie like Titanic. Titanic is much better though. br> I know there are a lot of people who disagree with me but a movie is really excellent if u r blown away at the end, speechless. Well, the feeling I had at the end of this one is far from this.
